The latest phishing scam is in the form of an email saying that you have an overdue balance due with your cable company. The link in the email to go to the cable company, brings you to a convincing copy of their page and when you click on the link it downloads malware onto your computer.
Then when you get to the website there will be another link that says ‘View Bill’ and if you click on this link you will get more malware downloaded onto your device!
What to do if you get this email:
1: Don’t click on the link
2: Either call your provider or type their address into the search bar to verify the information
3: Don’t enable macros on your computer
4: Have an anti-virus installed and up-to-date
