In our last newsletter we talked about Facebook and the data leak caused by ‘This is Your Digital Life’ quizzes.  The same man behind those quizzes, Dr. Aleksandr Kogan, owns Global Science Research (GSR) and paid Twitter for access for one day in 2015 to collect a “random sample” of tweets from December 2014 through April of 2015.

What happened to the data?
No one really knows what happened to the data.  Cambridge Analytica tweeted:

As for Twitter, they say that their data isn’t exactly private.  After all, anyone can read your tweets, both past and present.  However, they have removed Cambridge Analytica and their affiliates from their advertising spaces.

The worrisome part of this is this:  What if they matched the Facebook data with Twitter data?
