The second Tuesday of every month is ‘Patch Tuesday’ for Window machines.
Microsoft is informing us beforehand that the May update may not work on all machines. In studies, it has been shown to rename drives on the computer and this is causing problems with the updates.
When you go to update you may get a note similar to this:
What next?
After it fails to update, Microsoft says that it will immediately try again when “the issue has been resolved.”
What does this mean?
Microsoft says that there is no action required, however they aren’t fixing this issue until a later build.
You will still be able to use your computer, this particular update simply may not be installed for a while.
