Microsoft has reported that the May 2019 update, version 1809, could prevent Internet Explorer 11 from working correctly.

While most people aren’t using Internet Explorer any longer, those that are will be unable to use it unless the bug is fixed.

Microsoft says that this bug is due to one of two things:

1:  There is no default application for the internet or

2:  the default is ‘malformed’

This could cause Internet Explorer to open and then close by itself.

What should you do?

1:  Make sure that you have a default for your web browser or

2:  Use a different browser, such as Chrome or Firefox, until the bug is fixed.
