If you click on the Facebook logo in the upper left hand corner will take you to your ‘news feed’, which will show you recent posts of your friends.
The two people icon is a friend request. You can see when people find you and want to be a friend. Once you accept you can see all of their posts and vice versa. You can decide to ‘un-friend’ someone at any time.
The two dialog boxes are your messages from those that already are your friends.
The picture of the world will show you notifications. This is the recent posts from people you know and groups you are part of.
And finally, is the search bar. You can type here and look for people or articles on Facebook.
