Criminals are always trying to stay ahead. They started emailing malicious links about the shipment of items that haven’t been delivered or that you aren’t expecting.
Here are a few things to check for:
1: If an email says that they can’t re-deliver something, check the actual website instead of clicking on any link that was sent to your email.
2: When you call and they ask for money to process a ‘redelivery fee’ it’s not real! No legitimate business will charge you for re-delivery.
3: Check the spelling. A lot of scams have incorrect spelling and grammar.
Since the majority of the holidays are over, these same things will show up if you are returning items, or even if you aren’t! Just beware that they will use the same shipping scam for returning items as well.
