With so many scammers out there it’s difficult to recognize who is legitimate. They will come at you from every angle: phone, email, ads, cute pictures of animals or children that need your help.
It’s something new for them, but scammers have recently started texting.
How to Spot a Scamming Text:
1: The phone number is unfamiliar
2: If you have an ad posted, they will refer to the item as ‘a car’ instead of a ’96 Ford F150
3: Check the spelling and grammar
If you aren’t sure if the text is legitimate, don’t answer and don’t click on any link in the text.
