There is a new malware out that is attacking Android phones.
How does it get onto my phone?
You download an app that looks legitimate and it even does what it’s supposed to do. Every time you open it, it will download information and send it via text to another location.
The text message is almost instantly deleted so you don’t even know what’s going on. It can access your pictures, contacts, photos, and even record you!
What do you do?
1: Make sure that your phone is up-to-date
2: Turn off permissions for 3rd party downloads (this means you will only be able to download apps from the Play Store.)
3: Keep an eye on what permissions an app wants to use.
