We don’t usually associate Google with scams but there is a new one that has been detected in Google Calendar.
The threat is coming in the form of an invitation through Google Calendar. The invitation has an embedded link that can download all of your information if clicked on.
It also can spread through all the Google apps and devices.
What can you do?
As of right now, it looks like the threat is only limited to those that have gotten the invitation and clicked on the link within.
The Google Calendar app default is to set to allow invitations from anyone. You should go in and change this setting.
Don’t open any invitations that you aren’t either expecting or you don’t know who they are coming from.
